The inaugural Back2BlackAwards at BAFTA was a resounding success; but don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what some of you have had to say about your evening at BAFTA celebrating UK Black History.
This event was one of the best I’ve ever been to. Thank you Fredi for giving myself and my family such a memorable and fascinating evening out in celebration of Black History Month. We all came out a lot wiser than when we went in. My 15 year old son did not want to go originally, but we bought the ticket anyway. That was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He loved it so much, the first thing he said to us when we came out was. “Mum, Dad, any time you go out again please get me a ticket“. It depends on the event son, it depends. ‘Fredi it now looks like I will have to sneak out fe go dance’ Lol. Fredi you and your team absolutely nailed it. We have some real inspirational people in our community. Thank you for highlighting them and bringing them to the fore. The short films were excellent, as were the inspirational speakers, the performers, the singer’s the poetry, the historians. All the award winners well done. Fascinating people; some through the face of adversity, sorrow and pain throughout their lives, overcame the obstacles placed before them, and are now bringing inspiration to others. With Gods will, I’ve earmarked this event for next year. Can’t miss, won’t miss! At BAFTA as well..WOW.. You definitely deserve our support for what you are doing Fredi. Well done. Bless.
I have one word my brother, ‘Edutainment’, it was a memorable night, congratulations on your maiden voyage into the Award Show Business, I look forward to next year!!

My only regret is that I didn’t take my 21 year old daughter and a few of my nieces and nephews to this event. They will definitely be at next years event, soaking up the positive and inspirational vibes…
Great event on point from start to finish, all deserving nominees and winners in my view everyone’s a winner. BACK2BLACK is only gonna get bigger. Really nice turn out and great inspirational people.
