Singer songwriter FIDEL to perform at BACK2BLACK Awards 2015

Fidel is a singer/songwriter who burst onto the U.K scene with his own unique take on music. His music incorporates Soul & jazz and touches on everyday life & politics from a humorous albeit serious point of view. His influences include Bob Marley, Barry White & Luther Vandross. He performed at the Russell Simmons hip-hop summit in Los Angeles as well as having supported reggae legends Burning Spear & Buju Banton. Fidel wrote 4 tracks for U.K soulstress Hil St Soul’s smash hit album ‘Black Rose'(released in the U.S) & also previous album ‘Soulidified’. Fidel also wrote the lead song for the feature film soundtrack ‘Don’t trigger’ detailing the alarming rate of gun/knife murders amongst teenagers in the U.K. Fidel has more recently made his acting debut along side actor Charles Venn in the film Absent Without Love.

Fidel’s calm & easy going nature is contrasted sharply by his intense focus on making good music & he says “I smile everyday because I know it’s only a matter of time before I get to share this music with the rest of the world”.
