Lailah & Yasmin Boateng-Muhammad | Award Finalist
Two loving sisters -Yasmin has been nominated for her strength and courage with how much she has had to overcome since birth having been born 12 weeks early. She had a tracheotomy tube in-situ for 2 years as well as numerous operations yet still able to smile, support and help others and remain positive. The doctors said she wouldn’t survive and if she did she would suffer from brain damage.
Lailah has been nominated for how supportive she has been of her older sister and how accepting she was in having to take a back seat whilst the focus was on getting Yasmin well and healthy. She also has a wonderful gift and talent for writing poems, something fully acknowledged by her school.
