Camile Curtis is the founder of the Black, British and Beautiful Calendar however her background is in education and working with disaffected youth and is the Deputy Head of the alternative provision. She felt she really wanted to do more to ensure that ‘our’ children feel beautiful, worthy and that they can be somebody.

Rather than look outside of the country that we live in, she wanted to show our youth that we have amazing people that have developed their craft here, including Idris Elba from Hackney, Zade Smith from Neasden and John Boyega from Peckham not to mention our politicians, sports personalities and freedom fighters. This calendar is only just the beginning of her vision…

The calendar Launch and exhibition is on Thursday, 20th August 2015 // 6-8pm and will be held at Wac Arts (atrium), 213 Haverstock Hill, NW3 4QP

Ms Caroline Archer (acoustics soul) and Lyric l (2014 spoken word BEFFTA winner) will be performing on the evening. This a family, community and public event so please support this event and the launch of this exciting calendar.
